The very last edition, 20/20, of my sculpture based on the cloister at Moyne Abbey, Co. Mayo, is now available on backorder. (This means that it has not yet been painted or framed.)
The frame is 37cm x 43cm x 4.5cm (14.5” x 17” x 1.7”).
This piece was sculpted in wax and then moulded, I then cast, paint and frame each edition. The moulding and casting process makes all 20 editions related, but, each piece is unique as each one is painted by hand. When I paint I am influenced by my mood, the light and the weather outside. Some are sunny and bright and some are stormy and dark.
The photos are based on edition 19/20.

The imposing ruins of Moyne Abbey stand proudly looking out over the spectacular view of Killala Bay since it was completed in 1462. This sculpture is based on the cloister at Moyne Abbey which was built in the late Irish Gothic style by the Franciscans, the cloister is built on plain pillars placed in couplets and was used as a place of reflection until the Abbey was plundered and burnt to the ground in 1590. Although Moyne suffered greatly at the hands of the British military friars occupied Moyne right up to the 1800s.
The frame is 40cm x 46cm x 5cm (15.7” x 18” x 1.5”).
This sculpture of Moyne Abbey is a limited edition of 20 pieces, all made in my studio in the West of Ireland. Each piece is made individually so the colours and finish of each piece will vary. The photos are of edition 19 of 20.
Shipping within Ireland costs €8 with An Post, parcels are tracked and delivery is usually within 2-3 working days. (Christmas shipping schedules may have longer delivery periods.)
Shipping outside Ireland costs €60 using the postal service, parcels are tracked. Delivery to the USA takes 3-4 weeks on average. Please note that all shipments going outside the EU may be liable for import duties.
