Based on the remaining facade of Moore Hall, Co. Mayo, this was sculpted in 2018 and the first edition created for a commission request.
While old houses are not my regular subject matter, this one did capture my imagination as the house is now a shell hidden within a woods. As you stroll along a path in what seems like endless trees, suddenly, this house appears as if it has grown out of the ground. It is a wonderful place to visit.
This edition was painted in 2021 and has lovely light colours typcial of my work at that stage. I feel like the greens of the woods is really reflected in this piece.
The frame is 49cm x 55cm x 4.5cm (14.5” x 17” x 1.7”).
This piece was sculpted in clay and then moulded, each edition is then cast, painted and framed. This process makes all 10 editions related, but, like siblings each has it’s own personality and imperfections which make it unique.

This sculpture of Moore Hall is a limited edition of 10 pieces, all made in my studio in the West of Ireland. Each piece is made individually so the colours and finish of each piece will vary. The photos are of edition 9 of 10.
Shipping within Ireland costs €8 with An Post, parcels are tracked and delivery is usually within 2-3 working days.
Shipping outside Ireland costs €60 using the postal service, parcels are tracked. Delivery to the USA takes 3-4 weeks on average. Please note that all shipments going outside the EU may be liable for import duties.
