Limited edition sculpture based on the doorway at Ballintubber Abbey, Co. Mayo.
This piece was sculpted by hand in wax and clay, then moulded, cast and finally the finished piece is painted to capture the life I see in the stone. The thin and fragile edges, the cracks and the weathered stone are all part of the tapestry of Ireland’s beautiful landscape, history and traditions.
When I paint I am influenced by my mood, the light and the weather outside. Some are sunny and bright and some are stormy and dark.
The photos are based on edition 1/30 which is now sold, edition 3 is now available on backorder, this means that the piece is not yet painted or framed, but I can have this ready within 3-4 weeks usually. Just contact me if you need it sooner than that and I can let you know if I can fit you in!

The frame is 49cm x 55cm x 4.5cm (14.5” x 17” x 1.7”).
This sculpture of Ballintubber Abbey is a limited edition of 30, all made in my studio in the West of Ireland. Please note that as each piece is handmade, slight variations from the images will occur. The photos are of Edition 1 of 30.
Shipping within Ireland costs €8, parcels are tracked and delivery is usually within 2-3 working days. (Christmas shipping schedules may have longer delivery periods.)
Shipping outside Ireland costs €70 and parcels are tracked. Delivery to the USA takes 3-4 weeks on average. Please note that all shipments going outside the EU may be liable for import duties. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.
